I love both of Miriam’s books.  Her first one, Strong Women Stay Young is the result of a study she did on a group of women 55 to 90 years old over a period of a year.  These women had to commit to strength train 3 days a week.  They didn’t have to change their diets - just add exercise.  the results were nothing short of amazing.  All the women’s strength increased but what is more interesting is that they also gained bone mass.  Fat composition changed, too.

Since reading her books, I am more convinced that the human body and in this case the female body was meant to MOVE and continue to use their bodies.  Sitting down for too long is likened to setting yourself up for a long slow demise.  Truly. 

We are not meant to one day just say, “I am getting too old to _________ (fill in the blank)”.  No, ladies, never roll over.  Read this book and be convinced.
