About This Site
Weight loss is a pervasive problem. It affects more than how we look in jeans. It affects health. It affects attitude. It affects all of life.
For me, it was becoming a grandparent and suddenly realizing I wasn't going to get to enjoy watching my grandson grow up - unless I took drastic measures. I don't do things half way. I have to know why. Why am I fat when all my life I was relatively thin? Why can't I lose weight by reducing calories? Why do I still feel thin until I look into the mirror? I had to know. The scientist in me dove into the matter. No, I have no degrees or letters after my name. I just love to learn "why".
So, this site is a result of a quest for knowledge. Knowledge about fat loss, right eating habits, sensible exercise, lifestyle modification that fits me. I cut through the static of commercialized weight loss plans and celebrity hype. I had to know the absolute ABCs of true weight loss minus the fluff.
The results? Well, obviously this is a work in progress. Weight loss is that way. You start. Then you plateau. You flounder a bit. You dive in with a will. But armed with the truth about how my (and your body) works, it is only a matter of time and, VOILA, a more slender, healthy us!
